| eP30000 supports up to 30 concurrent voice calls. Two Primary Rate Interfaces (PRIs) enable the gateway to almost all the common PBX systems as well as to the trunk lines. | eP30000 uses various standardized voice compression algorithms such as G.723.1, G.729A,and G.711. Thus, eP30000 is interoperable with other VoIP products. There is very little or no difference to normal analog or digital voice calls regarding voice quality. Due to the fact that the eP30000 is a stand-alone box (no PC-based solution), and due to additional features including voice compression and echo cancellation, voice quality is excellent, provided that enough bandwidth is given. Owing to special features such as call progress tone generation (tone signals like normal telephones: dialing tone, operator, busy tone, and etc.) and overlap sending (phone-like dialing), the user can keep his/her calling habits and does not even realize that the call is taking place via Voice over IP. | |
